OCZ Vertex 2 and Onyx SandForce Controller Technology SSDs
Performance Series uses the top two SandForce controller and has up to 285MB / s read and 275MB / s write speed and random writes of 4 KB to 50,000 IOPS. The entry 1.8-inch Vertex 2 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacities.

The Value Series Onyx, the existence of the other, comes in 32GB and 64GB densities. It has up to 145 MB / s read and 120MB / s write speeds.

OCZ Technology launches its new line of 1.8-inch disks to solid state (SSD), the 1.8-inch Vertex 2 and 1.8-inch Onyx. Two of them uses MLC NAND flash memory and SATA II interface and come with 64MB of cache. They have a light alloy housing.
