New Batteries Recharged Shaken, not Stirred Extreme Gadgets
“The generator of new semi-permanently eliminate the need to replace batteries and help reduce the amount of waste,” says Brother Industries. Brother Industries prototype AA with the generator and rechargeable battery installed in the different cases.
In their current form are not going to replace the AA or AAA batteries in high-powered gadgets, but for things like remote controls and other low power devices that constantly consume energy, the AA / AAA doubles provide a serviceable replacement. According to Brother Industries, these new batteries can be used in devices with a maximum power of 100 mW.
Unlike other promising battery technologies, which could actually see the day, and soon. Already in prototype form, Brother Industries was exhibiting the vibration powered by the battery to the generation of Techno-Frontier 2010 Exhibition in Tokyo.
The next time you walk down the street and see the trial spazzing out, do not assume that he is insane (unless it foaming at the mouth), maybe he has to reload his camera, or other electronic device that uses AA or AAA. This is because the nerds at Brother Industries Ltd. have established vibration generators, batteries capable of giving the company a prototype shot of juice when shaken.
